If you want to be a better writer, write badly

Question: Do you ever feel like you’re not a good writer?

Me too. A lot.

It’s actually not bad to think that way, because we are all bad writers in the sense that we can always improve. And it doesn’t do to be too proud of ourselves.

But feeling bad about our writing can be a problem when we let self-doubt stop us from, well, writing. You’re not going to get better if you don’t practice. You won’t practice if you don’t write.

So instead of feeling bad about writing badly, you can try some reverse psychology on yourself:

If You Want to be a Great Writer, Write BADLY

Because not only does intentionally writing “badly” make you write, it can actually make your writing improve. A lot. Check out the article and you’ll see what I mean 🙂
